Livestorm Review 2024: Features, Pros & Cons, Pricing, And More

Welcome to our Livestorm review.

As business owners and marketers find new ways to connect with customers and leads, they find themselves looking into better webinar software. The most obvious software platforms like Zoom and Skype just aren’t cutting it especially if you plan to scale operations.

Fortunately, there is a webinar platform that dares to address the increasing demand for an all-in-one webinar solution — Livestorm.

In this Livestorm review, we’ll talk about why it’s one of our most recommended products for hosting webinars and online meetings. You’ll also get a glance at its marketing features that give you more brand recognition.

What is Livestorm?

01 Livestorm Homepage

Livestorm is a French company that markets a video webinar solution that aims to take the frustration out of setting up live webinars for businesses and organizations.

It’s an all-in-one video conferencing software, meaning you’ll find all of the tools you’ll need within the platform to set up, promote, and launch online events.

There are a couple of things that make Livestorm a more fitting solution for weekly webinars and similar events.

No downloads necessary

You say to yourself: I want all my participants to join my webinar room. How difficult can it be?

As it turns out, it can be quite the process.

If this is your first webinar, you’d have to figure out which platform to use. Then you’d have to convince your attendees to download and install software — and that’s just for desktop users. If your attendees would use a mobile device to attend, you’d have to make sure that your webinar can launch on a mobile app.

There are just so many variables to consider to the point that the software itself becomes a hurdle. If you add too many barriers to entry, people might not attend.

But that’s not the case with Livestorm.

Livestorm doesn’t require users to download or install anything. It’s a browser-based platform that works on desktop and mobile devices.

A true one-stop-shop solution

Whether you’re doing live or pre-recorded webinars, Livestorm makes setting up events a very simple process.

It allows you to set up a registration page that you can customize to fit your branding. You can send emails to users to remind them of upcoming events. As you host webinars, you can chat with your audience, answer questions, and conduct polls.

And when an event comes to a close, you can go through your analytics data to see engagement rates and other metrics that would help you identify what you need to improve on.

Tons of use cases

If you’re thinking of only using Livestorm to conduct Powerpoint presentations, then you’re severely underestimating its capabilities.

Why settle for a Powerpoint presentation when you could do so much better?

You could use Livestorm to conduct product demos, online training courses, a recurring webinar series, an event performance, podcast interviews, customer training, live Q&As, hiring sessions, employee onboarding, and so much more.

Livestorm webinar software features

Livestorm has outstanding features that make it a better video solution for businesses of different sizes. Let’s go over some of its prominent features.

Quick new event setup process

From Livestorm’s dashboard, you can quickly set up and customize an event. Let’s walk you through the process.

To set up an event, you’ll need to give it a name first. From there, you can play with the other options.

02 Edit details for new event

Aside from setting up the date and the time of the event, you can also create a unique and personal link that you’ll use to share with attendees.

You can also set speaking permissions to only allow team members and guests to talk or let everyone have the option to do so (in case of meetings and similar functions).

Of course, you have the option to add team members to your event.

Once all these details are finalized, you can create your event. It’s that simple.

From here, you can go under General Settings to fine-tune your event.

03 General Settings

Under General Settings, you can add a brief description to let attendees know what the event is all about. You can also update some of the details that you configured earlier.

At this point, you can already publish the event, meaning it’ll be ready to go live at the date and time that you set. But there are more settings that you can configure.

Registration

Under Registration, you can require users to fill up registration forms to join an event. You can have them leave their email, first name, and last name. Or you can enter a custom field if you need specific information.

04 Registration Settings

You can even ask them to give their consent to your terms and conditions if you want. There’s also an option to only accept email addresses from a work email address.

A registration page can be embedded into your website.

Event Room

The Event Room is where you can turn on or off some of the features in your webinar room. You can enable the interaction tools (the integrated chat, questions, or polls tabs). You can hide or show the attendees. If needed, you can hide your attendees’ last names.

05 Event Room Settings

This is also where you turn on the option to share Powerpoint slides with everyone in the event.

Design the registration page and emails

Updating the look of your registration pages and emails not only makes you appear more professional, but it also helps you stay on top of your business branding.

06 Design Settings

You can change the background, text, and button colors of your registration pages. You can also upload your company logo and insert a background image. The same goes for your emails.

Email settings

The Email Settings lets you decide when emails are sent to registered attendees to remind them of your upcoming event. You can send them after registration, an hour before the event start time, or five minutes before.

07 Email Settings

This is also where you can manage your email templates or create one if you haven’t done so yet.

08 Manage your email templates

Integrations

You can connect third-party apps to add more functionality to your Livestorm account.

09 Livestorm integrations

The list of integrations includes Zapier, Webhooks, Slack, Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Pipedrive.

As an example, you can use Zapier to host private or paid events.

Analytics

Once you’ve completed an event, you’ll find a breakdown of all the key metrics in your dashboard.

10 Event analytics

You can find a more detailed breakdown of an event by clicking on it and then opening the People tab.

11 Analytics details for each event

Here you’ll see how many attendees there are alongside other interesting tidbits about the event like how many people viewed the replay.

Reports can be exported in Excel, CSV, or ODS format.

Instant meetings

What if you want to meet with your support team immediately? Can this webinar software launch an impromptu session?

Yes, it can through a feature called Instant Meetings.

12 Instant Meetings

It’s a simplified version of creating an event. All you need to provide is your name and a URL slug. You can also add the team members that will be attending the meeting.

Once you create the meeting room, you can send the landing page link to everyone invited so they can attend right away.

Livestorm is one of the best webinar software when it comes to bringing attendees together quickly for a sudden meeting.

When you’re done, you can delete the Instant Meeting session or leave it there for future sessions.

Automation capabilities

Livestorm has the technical ability to automate certain aspects of an event by setting up rules. For now, the only rules available are start event, play a video, end event, and redirect to a page.

13 Livestorm automation capabilities

You can find the automation settings by clicking on an event and heading to Settings > Optional Settings > Automation > Add an Automation.

This is one of the ways you can hold a pre-recorded event. Just upload a recording from your computer and it’ll be available for broadcast. You can also use automation to send attendees to your custom landing pages after the event is over.

Customer service

The Livestorm page shows its users several means of contacting them if they run into issues or maybe leave positive feedback. There are phone numbers for both UK and US residents available.

While you’re logged in, there’s a chat bot of sorts that redirects you to helpful resources that should get you started. You can even use this feature to send the customer service team feature requests.

The only downside is that the support team is only available during their business hours. These are 10 AM to 2 PM CET (Paris) and 1 AM to 5 PM PT (Pacific). They do speak English, French, and Spanish.

You can email help@livestorm.com as well if you need support. Sales inquiries can email sales@livestorm.com

Livestorm does have a remarkably responsive team.

Livestorm pricing

What are the available plans and how much do they cost?

14 Livestorm pricing

There are annual and monthly plans available.

Free plan

The Free Plan includes all of the features mentioned as well as unlimited webinars and moderators. That means you can do daily webinars if you want to.

So what’s the catch?

The pricing page does make it clear that you only get up to 20 minutes per event and that there can only be a maximum of 10 registrants per event.

Premium plan

The Premium Plan is $99 per month if billed annually. The regular monthly rate is $109.

It has all the same features as the free version. Only this time, you get up to four hours per event and get unlimited event registrants.

There is a cap of 100 attendees per event though. If you need more, you can go past the limit by purchasing add-ons. You’ll pay $99 per month if you want to raise the limit to 250 attendees. And it’s $229 more per month if you’re looking to raise it to 1,000 attendees.

You can also add more hosts at $99 per host per month.

Enterprise plan

The Enterprise Plan is customized to every client, so pricing varies.

What makes it different is that it starts at five or more hosts. There are also multiple workspaces with unified billing. You’ll also get trained by a Livestorm expert among other perks.

And you will get priority support when you end up with an Enterprise Plan.

Verdict

Let’s wrap up this Livestorm review with some final thoughts:

Livestorm is an easy recommendation from us, especially if you’re still new to hosting live webinars.

You can run online meetings, virtual events, and various webinar types. For example, aside from regular webinars, you can run on-demand and automated webinars.

Then there’s the marketplace of integrations. There are well over 1000+ integrations which makes it easy to connect Livestorm with the rest of your tech stack.

Then there’s the landing page builder and funnel analytics. While third-party landing page software will provide more features, the built-in tools are quite good. And they may be enough for most users.

However, it’s worth noting that you may need to purchase an add-on if you plan to have lots of people attend your event. That said, the pricing of the add-ons are still very competitive compared with other webinar platforms.

Overall, Livestorm is a fantastic platform. The UI is great and it is especially easy to use. Most importantly, it’s packed with all the features you could need.
