Looking for the best SEOprofiler alternatives to help inform your strategy? We’ve got you covered.
SEOprofiler is an all-in-one SEO (search engine optimization) platform that provides all the tools you need for keyword research, website optimization, backlink analysis, and more. But sadly, it closed down on 26 April 2022.
Fortunately, there are a bunch of alternatives that have SEO software just like SEOprofiler—but even better.
We’ve compiled some of our favorites here and reviewed each of them in detail so you can find the best tool for your needs.
Let’s get started!
The best SEOprofiler alternatives – summary
#1 – SE Ranking
SE Ranking is the best SEOprofiler alternative for most users. It’s a full-featured marketing platform that stands out for its stellar support, fantastic onboarding process, and powerful keyword tools.
Like many of the other platforms on this list, SE Ranking does all the most important SEO jobs very well: rank tracking, competitor analysis, site auditing, keyword research, and even social media management.
Our favorite thing about SE Ranking, though, is the balance between features, data quality, and value for money. It’s on the more affordable side but the quality of the tool is incredible.
They have a huge database of backlinks and keywords to assist with your SEO campaigns. In fact, they have one of the largest keyword databases we have tested. Which is great news if you need to do any competitive research.
They also have one of the best SEO report builders on the market. You can create SEO reports that pull together data from SE Ranking’s own tools as well as Google Analytics, etc. You can choose to automate these reports as well.
SE Ranking provides you with a detailed roadmap to guide your SEO strategy and walks you through the whole process, from pre-launch steps like installing a tracking system, to keyword research, on-page optimization, off-page optimization, and beyond.
You’ll be given a best-practice SEO checklist that tells you everything you need to do to stay on top of your SEO marketing efforts so you can tick them off one by one. You can even add your own custom tasks to your to-do list.
And if you run into any trouble along the way, you can rest easy knowing support is always available. The SE Ranking support team is one of the best around, and the Help Center is super comprehensive if you prefer to find answers to queries yourself.
SE Ranking plans start at $23.52/month for weekly tracking.
A 14-day free trial is available (no credit card required).

#2 – Semrush
Semrush is one of the most popular marketing platforms out there and our top recommendation for agencies and in-house teams.
It’s an industry-leading platform that’s used by over 10 million marketing professionals, and by some of the world’s most successful brands, including Amazon, Apple, and Tesla. In fact, it’s the go-to tool for 30% of Fortune 500 companies.
Like SEOprofiler, Semrush aims to be an all-in-one solution that offers a bunch of different online marketing tools all rolled into one. It can help with everything from SEO and content marketing to PPC advertising and social media marketing.
It offers all the features you’d expect, including a keyword research tool, domain analysis, backlink analytics, link-building tools, site auditing, etc.
Plus, it also offers some extra features that SEOprofiler lacks, like a social media marketing dashboard, content marketing tools (SEO writing assistant and content template, etc), CRM, ad campaign tool, and more.
Given how full-featured Semrush is, it might be overkill for SMBs and freelancers who just want basic SEO tools. However, for in-house marketing teams and agencies that need the best of the best, there’s no better option.
Semrush starts at $99.95/month for annual plans, or $119.95/month if you pay monthly.
You can also sign up for a 7-day free trial.

#3 – Serpstat
Serpstat is an award-winning growth hacking toolkit and in our opinion, one of the best SEOprofiler alternatives out there.
It offers a good balance of features and affordability, with a simple UI and a variety of plans suitable for everyone from freelancers to large marketing agencies and enterprises, including big names like Uber, Shopify, Samsung, and Philips.
Like SEOprofiler, Serpstat is an all-in-one platform that provides you with a selection of different tools to help with all aspects of your SEO campaigns, from keyword research tools to rank tracking and site auditing.
These tools are split into 5 modules:
- Rank tracker. Track and analyze your ranking position in the SERPs for different keywords and find out your traffic share of the tracked keywords in comparison to your competitors.
- Backlink analysis. Gather data and insights into your referring domains and how your backlink profile changes over time. Keep track of your competitors’ backlink strategy and uncover insights to help you with your off-page SEO efforts.
- Keyword research. Generate new keyword ideas, run analysis to uncover keyword gaps and more.
- Site audit. Run an audit on your site to discover issues that might be hurting your SEO and then clean them up.
- Competitor research. Analyze all of your competitors to find keyword ideas, identify niche leaders, track their progress and compare it to your own performance, and more.
On top of all that, this SEO platform allows you to keep track of your projects, view your history and analytics reports, which makes it a great choice for agencies and in-house marketing teams.
Serpstat plans start from $45/month (60 months). Monthly plans start from $69/month.
You can also sign up for the free plan to test it out.
#4 – Mangools
Mangools is a simple, beginner-friendly SEO toolkit and the best SEOprofiler alternative for beginners.
Unlike many of the other platforms on this list, Mangools is built specifically for beginners. You don’t have to be an expert to use all their SEO tools, the interface is super simple, and there’s more or less no learning curve.
It doesn’t have as broad a feature set as some of its competitors, but it offers all the essentials that solopreneurs, bloggers, and small businesses need.
That includes an intuitive keyword research tool (just pop in a seed keyword or domain to generate a huge list of ideas alongside their search volume, difficulty, etc.), SERP data for any location, rank tracking, backlink analysis, and a competitor website authority checker.
And of course, the price point is much lower than its competitor platforms that target the upper-end of the market. It’s one of the most affordable tools with SEO software on the market, which makes it the perfect choice for bloggers, entrepreneurs, and cash-strapped startups.
Pricing starts at $29/month (annual) or $49/month (monthly) for the Basic plan.
You can get started with a 10-day free trial.

#5 – SpyFu
SpyFu is another SEO marketing suite best known for its top-of-the-line competitive analysis tools and PPC data.
You can use SpyFu to ‘spy’ on any domain and uncover insights about what your competitors are doing. You can find out everything, including:
- Where your competitors are showing up on Google
- What keywords they’re ranking for organically and their complete ranking history
- The PPC keywords they’re targeting (download their full PPC list and Google Ads campaign history)
- The results of their Google Ads campaigns and split tests
- Their most valuable backlinks
- Plus much, much more
And that’s not all. On top of the unparalleled competitor analysis tools, SpyFu also offers a bunch of other useful SEO features, including SERP analysis, backlink checking, link building tools, keyword research tools, website analytics, and more.
SpyFu plans usually start from $33/month (annual) or $39/month (monthly).
However, at the time of writing, they’re currently running a limited time offer so if you start a free trial with ClickCease fraud protection software, you get access to the liftime discount which reduces the price to just $9/month.
#6 – Ahrefs
Ahrefs is arguably the most popular SEO toolset in the world. It’s a fantastic alternative to SEOprofiler if you have the budget for it and gives you access to everything you need to improve your ranking positions and drive more organic traffic.
It’s used by world-renowned marketers, SEO pros, and household name brands like Facebook, Shopify, eBay, Adobe, and Netflix.
The heart and soul of Ahrefs is the Site Explorer. You can pop in any domain name to instantly see all sorts of useful insights, from the domain authority (DA) to the site’s backlink profile, organic search performance, top pages, and so much more.
Aside from that, there’s also the Keywords Explorer; which is probably the most powerful keyword research tool on the market, the Content Explorer; which can help you to discover and analyze the best-performing content in your sector, the Rank Tracker, and the Site Audit tool.
Put all that together and you have one of the most powerful SEO platforms you’ll find anywhere.
You can sign up for the monthly Ahrefs Lite plan for $99/month. If you opt to pay annually, you’ll get two months of access for free.
Be careful with your resource usage though. Changes to Ahrefs pricing in 2022 means that they’ll bill you automatically and without warning if you go over the limits on your plan. And you only get 500 monthly reports across all accounts (even their $999/month account).
If you own your own website, you can also sign up for the Ahrefs Webmaster Tools for free access to limited features in the Site Explorer and Site Audit.
#7 – Nightwatch
Nightwatch is the best SEOprofiler alternative for local businesses. It’s the most accurate rank tracker on the market and can help you track your local rankings in over 100,000 global locations with pinpoint precision.
Many businesses mistakenly think that organic website ranking positions are the same for every search user. They’re not. Depending on where you’re located, Google and other search engines will serve up different websites in the SERPs.
The problem is that most SEO tools can’t accurately track your rankings in specific locations. Instead, they just base their ranking data on whatever Google Data Center they’re assigned.
For local businesses, this just doesn’t cut it. If you don’t have accurate data, you won’t know whether or not you’re visible on the SERPs for target customers in your area.
Nightwatch solves this problem. It lets you access every Google Data Center on the planet and track your rankings in both the SERPs and map pack across all major search engines for specific ZIP codes, with over 50,000 more supported locations than anyone else.
You can then use this data to inform your local SEO strategy and surge above the competition.
Aside from the world’s most accurate rank tracking system, Nightwatch also gives you access to other SEO tools to help you drive more traffic and sales. This includes website auditing, keyword suggestions, and in-depth reports.
If you’re a professional marketer or marketing agency, you can also take advantage of white-label reports to impress your clients.
Nightwatch plans start at $32/month for the Starter package, which lets you track 500 keywords/day, 50 websites, and 5 competitors.
Higher-priced plans with more advanced features and higher usage caps are available.
You can try Nightwatch risk-free with a 14-day trial.
#8 – SEO PowerSuite
SEO PowerSuite is a one-stop SEO software solution that comes with everything you need for your online marketing campaigns, including rankings, on-page optimization tools, backlinks, and reports.
Unlike many of the other SEOprofiler alternatives we’ve looked at so far, SEO PowerSuite isn’t a cloud-based platform. Rather, it’s a downloadable software solution that you access from your computer.
Anyone can download it for free with no time limitations and no credit card required, which makes it a great choice for newbies that aren’t ready to invest in a paid tool just yet.
Plus, when you’re ready to upgrade to a premium edition, you’ll find it’s much more affordable than many of its competitors.
The reason SEO PowerSuite is so cheap is that it’s a desktop tool. This means that, unlike cloud-based platforms, they don’t have to pay for servers to protect and process user data, which reduces costs. And as a result, they can offer their software at a lower price point.
Despite the price, SEO PowerSuite hasn’t cut any corners when it comes to its features. The built-in backlinks checker works great, the SpyGlass tool is great for competitor analysis, and the PPC ads optimization tool is a nice feature to have if you plan on running Google Ad campaigns to complement your organic SEO strategy.
We also liked the UI. It’s more intuitive than most so it’s very beginner-friendly, while still offering enough pro-level features for experienced marketers.
It is worth noting that in recent years, SEO PowerSuite has added a few features that do run in the cloud. For example, the database used in the backlink checker tool. But it’s all operated from within the downloadable software.
You can get started with a limited version of SEO PowerSuite by downloading it for free.
To unlock more advanced features and better usage limits, you can purchase a premium licence, which starts from $299/year.
#9 – Moz Pro
Moz Pro is another one of the world’s leading all-in-one suite of SEO tools. It’s an industry-leading platform that’s used by thousands of marketers, bloggers, and big brands like Trivago and 99designs.
The Keyword Explorer can help you to better understand the existing keywords that are driving traffic to your website, and uncover new keyword opportunities.
You can use it to generate new potential target keywords and see their keyword volume, difficulty, and more. Once you’ve found keywords you might want to target, you can save them in custom keyword lists that you can track.
The rank tracking system gives you a wide-angle picture of how you’re ranking for different search terms, both locally and nationally.
The Site Crawl feature will dig through your site and audit it to find any features that might be holding you back from being properly indexed or ranking higher in the SERPs.
Once it’s identified the problems, it’ll then show you how to fix them. You can also set up automatic alerts that notify you when new site issues are found before they hurt your business.
The page optimization tool offers recommendations to help you nail your on-page SEO and create content that stands the best chance of ranking.
There’s a lot more you can do with Moz, but the best way to find out all it has to offer is to try it out for yourself.
The Standard plan starts from $99/month and is perfect for anyone who just needs access to the basics. Higher-priced plans with more attractive limits and access to more tools are available.
You can also take advantage of Moz’s generous 30-day free trial to take it for a test drive.
Best SEOprofiler Alternatives: FAQ
What is SEOprofiler?
SEOprofiler is a cloud-based platform that can help businesses and bloggers to achieve higher rankings on search engines like Google and Bing.
It offers a broad feature set with various tools to help with different aspects of SEO, such as keyword research, link analysis, off-page SEO, on-page SEO optimization, audits, analytics, rankings, and more.
The company behind SEOprofiler is headquartered in Germany and has been creating internet marketing tools for over two decades.
Why did SEOprofiler close down?
According to an announcement on the company site, SEOprofiler is closing down due to unspecified personal circumstances and health reasons. The platform and all built-in tools were shut down on April 26th 2022.
What happens to my existing SEOprofiler subscription?
SEOprofiler stopped accepting new customers or renewing any subscriptions after 26 March 2022.
Since SEOprofiler has now shut down, it appears that all subscriptions would have been cancelled. The founder did state that those with a yearly subscription would be given a partial refund to account for the remaining months.
Can I save my SEOprofiler ranking data?
Unfortunately it is no longer possible to save your SEOprofiler ranking data. It was available to export up until 26th April 2022. At which point, the app was no longer available.
Hopefully you would have backed up your data in time. If not, you will still be able to view historical ranking data via Google Search Console. However, Google Search Console does have it’s limitations so it would be best to sign up for rank tracking software such as SE Ranking or Serpstat.
Are there any free alternatives to SEOprofiler?
There are many alternatives to SEOprofiler that offer limited free versions or free trials, some of which have been included in this list (such as Moz, Semrush, etc.).
However, I don’t think there are currently any all-in-one platforms that offer all of the tools SEOprofiler offered completely for free. There will usually be usage caps and limitations unless you purchase a subscription.
That said, if you only want access to specific tools that SEOprofiler offered, you may be able to find free alternatives. For example, Google Keyword Planner and Google Trends are great free tools that can help with keyword research. Likewise, Google Search Console is a good way to keep track of your keyword rankings for free.
Can I do search engine optimization on my own?
Yes, you can do search engine optimization without investing in a paid all-in-one toolkit like SEOprofiler. However, it’s more difficult.
The best SEO campaigns are data-driven, and the easiest way to get the data you need is to use an all-in-one SEO software tool such as SE Ranking or Semrush.
What are the different types of SEO?
There are several different types of search engine optimization, including:
- On-Page SEO — This involves optimizing individual pages on your site around on-page ranking factors like content relevance, headlines, title tags, meta descriptions, images, etc. Use these on-page SEO tools to help you.
- Off-Page SEO — This involves actions you perform outside of your own domain to improve your site’s authority and SEO, such as link building.
- Local SEO — This involves optimizing your site for local rankings, such as by listing your site in local directories, creating a GMB listing, earning reviews, etc.
- Technical SEO — This involves taking actions in the backend of your site and servers to help search engines to crawl and index it more effectively. It might involve setting up redirects, minifying code to help improve loading speeds, and other technical actions. You can use SEO site auditors to check your site for technical SEO issues.
- Mobile SEO — This involves steps taken to improve your site’s mobile optimization and search visibility on mobile devices.
Choosing the best SEOprofiler alternative for your business
As you can see, there are plenty of great SEOprofiler alternatives out there. The best one for your business will depend on what features are most important to you, your budget, and other factors.
That said, here’s what we’d recommend.
- Choose Serpstat if you just want the overall best value-for-money alternative
- Try Semrush if you’re looking for an alternative for your marketing agency or in-house team
- Go for Mangools if you’re a beginner and want something simple and easy to use, and you don’t need all the bells and whistles.
We hope you found this helpful. Good luck!
