The best SEO PowerSuite alternatives – summary

  1. SE Ranking – Best for most users. Great balance of features and affordability.
  2. Mangools – Best for beginners. Simple and affordable.
  3. Semrush – Best for SEO professionals and enterprise customers.

#1 – SE Ranking

SE Ranking is our number one favorite SEO PowerSuite alternative. It’s a fantastic cloud-based all-in-one platform with a similar feature set to SEO PowerSuite.

SE Ranking Homepage

Like SEO PowerSuite, SE Ranking aims to be a one-stop SEO software solution, with all the tools you need for your day-to-day online marketing operations fully integrated into one powerful platform.

You can use it to plan your campaign, discover new keywords, reverse engineer your competitors’ strategies, track your ranking positions, find new link-building opportunities, run site audits, and a whole lot more. Their Google Analytics integration allows you to view all your data from within SE Ranking.

But unlike on SEO PowerSuite, you can do all that on the cloud through your web browser, so you don’t have to download any software to your computer.

SE Ranking comes with plenty of SEO tools—and there’s a lot to praise about all of them—but we particularly like the Keyword Research & Suggestion tool.

It’s one of the best keyword research tools we’ve seen with an intuitive interface, great filtering options, and all the most important metrics (search volume, CPC, and keyword difficulty). And thanks to SE Ranking’s huge 7B+ keyword database, it’s capable of uncovering keyword opportunities that other platforms miss.

It also has one of the largest backlink databases we have tested.

Another feature we like is the Marketing and SEO Plan. It helps you stay organized by creating a roadmap to help you achieve your SEO goals. Checklists let you know what tasks you still need to do to optimize your site. These tasks are separated up into on-page SEO, off-page SEO, pre-launch steps, etc.

SE Ranking has a full-featured rank tracking tool that is one of the best on the market. You can use it to monitor rankings across search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, and more.

Also like SEO PowerSuite, SE Ranking represents excellent value for money. It’s a lot cheaper than other leading all-in-one solutions, with plans starting at a third of the cost of its biggest competitors.

There’s also additional features such as page change monitoring, backlink monitoring, on-page SEO checker, and API access available on higher level plans.

Aside from being an affordable solution for small businesses and solopreneurs, it’s also great for agencies thanks to its powerful report builder, white-label feature, and lead generation widget.

Pros and cons

Complete SEO toolkitKeyword search volume estimations could be improved
Great value for money
Suitable for all types of users
Intuitive interface
Huge database of backlinks and keywords

SE Ranking plans start from as little as $23.52/month, depending on the features and keywords you need, the frequency you plan on using it, and the length of your subscription period. Use the calculator on the SE Ranking pricing page for a customized quote based on your needs.

#2 – Mangools

Mangools is another affordable, all-in-one alternative to SEO PowerSuite. It stands out for its ease of use and beginner-friendly interface.

Mangools Homepage

There are a lot of similarities between Mangools and SEO PowerSuite. Both offer tons of features grouped into a handful of ‘toolkits’, each of which focuses on a different area of SEO.

On SEO PowerSuite, these toolkits are the Rank Tracker, Website Auditor, SEO SpyGlass, and LinkAssistant. On Mangools, they’re the KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner, and SiteProfiler.

As you probably guessed, KWFinder is Mangools’ keyword research toolkit. Use it to find juicy, low-hanging-fruit keywords with low difficulty and high search volume.

Like all Mangools tools, it’s super easy to use. Simply search for a seed keyword or topic to bring up a ton of related keywords from Mangools 2.5B-strong database, then sort them to find the best opportunities.

Alternatively, search for a domain to see what keywords your competitors already rank for, then pick out the best ones that you think you can compete for.

If you want to dig deeper, you can also get historical search volumes to evaluate long-term trends and identify seasonal topics. If you’re running a local SEO campaign, you can change the settings to find location-specific keywords and get precise local results at the city level.

All the other tools are just as easy to use. You can use SERPChecker to analyze local SERPs across 50k+ locations, while keyword tracking is made easy with SERPWatcher so you can keep track of your organic keyword ranking position over time.

LinkMiner can help you find new backlink opportunities and plan your link-building campaigns, and Site Profiler is a simple but powerful competitor analysis solution. Use it to check the authority of any site, uncover its best traffic-generating content, evaluate its backlink profile, and more.

Mangools isn’t just easy to use, it’s also very affordable. The low-cost plans and simple interface make it the best SEO PowerSuite alternative for beginners.

Pros and cons

Simple interfaceLacks sophisticated/advanced features
Easy to useLimited keyword metrics
Five toolkits in one
Very affordable

Plans start at $29.90/month. You can get started with a 10-day free trial.

#3 – Semrush

Semrush is an industry-leading online marketing suite. It’s widely considered to be the gold standard when it comes to SEO tools, with more data and features than its competitors. It’s the best SEO PowerSuite alternative for serious marketers and enterprise users who have a bigger budget to work with.

SEMrush Homepage

All in all, there are over 40 tools in Semrush, covering the whole spectrum of SEO. You can use it for keyword research, backlink analysis, content optimization, site auditing, rank tracking, competitive research, etc.

In addition to its SEO tools, Semrush also offers tools for PPC analysis, social media marketing, content marketing, and other branches of digital marketing. This makes it an even more comprehensive marketing solution than SEO PowerSuite.

We’ve always found Semrush to be very accurate and reliable. It provides deeper insights and boasts more sophisticated and advanced features than most other tools, and this is reflected in the price. It isn’t cheap but if you have the budget for it, it’s worth every penny.

There are add-ons available such as the Traffic Analytics tool, much like Similar Web. You can use it to uncover all kinds of insights about your competitor’s website traffic, including monthly visits, bounce rate, and more.

All that said, it might be overkill for beginners. If you only need access to basic features and don’t need all the bells and whistles Semrush has to offer, it probably isn’t worth the cost.

Pros and cons

40+ tools for SEO, PPC, SMM, content, & more.User interface can be difficult to navigate
Cutting-edge featuresMight be overkill for beginners
Largest database
Deep insights
Generous usage limits

You can try Semrush out with a limited free account or a free trial. Paid plans start from $99.95 per month when billed annually.

#4 – Serpstat

Serpstat is yet another all-in-one SEO platform that can do most of the same stuff as SEO PowerSuite. It comes with 30+ SEO tools in total and some unique features you won’t find elsewhere.

Serpstat Homepage

SE Ranking’s suite of tools can be used for keyword analysis, competitor analysis (in both organic and paid search), rank tracking, site audits, single-page audits, backlink analysis, SERP crawling, and more.

There are a couple of unique features that we really like. The first is Keywords Trends. It’s the first SEO tool on the market that gives you a list of trending search queries in selected regions. And if Serpstat’s claims are to be believed, you won’t find anything similar anywhere else.

The next is Keyword Clustering. It lets you group closely related keywords together so that instead of targeting just one, you can create a pillar post around a broad topic and rank for dozens of long-string searches at the same time. This method tends to work better than targeting single keywords now since Google’s algorithm became smart enough to evaluate topical authority.

Another feature we liked is the Malicious Sites report. Accessible from the backlink analysis tool, it tells you all the dangerous sites that link to yours so you can identify links that you might want to have removed or disavowed.

We also really like all of Serpstat’s PPC research features, and its Text Analytics tool is one of the best on-page auditors we’ve seen.

Pros and cons

Good value for moneyExpensive for multiple users
Powerful reportingBacklink database is smaller than the likes of Semrush and SE Ranking but it is improving
Unique features
30+ tools
Huge keyword database

Plans start at $45/mo if you sign up for 24 months or more. You can try it out for free with limited access.

#5 – WebCEO

WebCEO is a digital marketing toolkit that gives you access to over 23 pro-level tools in one platform. It’s great for agency-level competitive analysis and comes with powerful reporting capabilities.

WebCEO New Homepage

It comes with all the same features you’d expect from an all-in-one SEO tool. Use it to carry out keyword research, ru‌n in-depth SEO audits, check your backlinks, monitor rankings, perform competitor research, analyze social media, and carry out link-building campaigns.

It’s ideal for both freelancers and teams, with some agency-focused features such as a lead generation widget, batch project and task management, automated notifications, and beautiful SEO reports.

Pros and cons

23+ tools for SEO, PPC, competitor research, and SMM.UX could be better
90+ in-depth reportsMulti-user plans a little overpriced
Advanced feature set

Plans start from $33/month. A free 14-day trial is available.

#6 – Morningscore

Morningscore is another great SEO software solution for beginners. It has a super intuitive interface and is designed to make SEO simple.

Morningscore Homepage

You don’t need to be an expert to use Morningscore. Everything is really straightforward and there’s next to no learning curve.

It comes with a suite of easy-to-use tools for keyword research and management, rank tracking, competitor analysis, backlink monitoring, website auditing, and reporting.

The coolest thing about Morningscore, though, is its SEO Missions feature. It’s a gamification tool that helps you to stay motivated to work on otherwise-boring SEO tasks.

You can either add your own missions or use suggested missions provided by the tool. It then tells you the monetary value of each mission in monetary figures. For example, one mission might be to ‘build 1 link with a value of 70+’, and that might be worth $1,342 USD in ROI.

Pros and cons

Built-in gamificationLacks some important backlink and keyword metrics
Easy to useNot as advanced as some other toolkits
Great value for money
Assigns a monetary value to SEO tasks

Plans start at $65/month or $650/year. You can start out with a 14-day free trial.

#7 – SpyFu

SpyFu is another great SEO PowerSuite alternative, particularly when it comes to competitor research. It boasts some of the most powerful competitive analysis capabilities and can help you to uncover a wealth of data on your rivals’ SEO and PPC strategies.

SpyFu Homepage

All you have to do is enter a competitor’s domain to instantly uncover their entire search marketing strategy. You can view all their most valuable backlinks, extract contact information for them, and add them to your own link-building campaigns.

Plus, see every keyword they rank for in organic search and how their ranking positions have changed over time. You can even reverse engineer their whole paid search strategy and see every keyword they’ve bought on Google Ads and all the split tests they’ve ever run.

Pros and cons

Powerful competitor research toolsFeature set isn’t as broad as other all-in-one solutions
SEO & PPC analysis tools
Great for link building

Plans start at just $8/month if you take advantage of their limited time offer (see their pricing page for details). Otherwise, plans start at $33/month.

#8 – Ahrefs

Ahrefs is one of the most popular SEO platforms on the market. It’s right up there alongside Semrush as an industry leader, with the most active web crawler and some of the most sophisticated features around.

Ahrefs Homepage

You can use Ahrefs for everything you’d expect: keyword research, backlink analysis, site auditing, content marketing research, etc.

While Ahrefs rank tracking tool only supports Google, other parts of its tool do support multiple search engines. For example, you can use its Keyword Explorer tool to generate keywords for multiple search engines. This includes Google, Bing, Yandex, Yahoo, Seznam and more.

All its tools are very advanced and its data is incredibly accurate thanks to its huge databases that are updated daily.

There’s just one problem: the price.

Usually, Ahrefs would rank at the top of this list. But the reason it’s so far down is due to its current billing practices. They recently changed the way they charge customers and now bill for overages automatically, which users aren’t happy about.

Plus, their plans are incredibly overpriced. You only get 500 reports per user per month even on the Enterprise plan, which costs nearly a thousand bucks per month—and that’s just crazy.

For comparison, Semrush allows 3,000 reports per day on their lowest plan.

Pros and cons

Most active web crawlerAutomatically charges for overages
Huge databasesOverpriced
Powerful toolkitNo free trial
Advanced features

Plans start at $83/month if billed annually. There’s no free trial available and you’ll automatically be charged extra if you exceed your plan limits. 500 monthly reports included in the base price of each plan.

#9 – Wincher

Wincher is the best alternative to SEO PowerSuite’s Rank Tracker. Unlike the other tools on this list, it isn’t an all-in-one solution. It focuses mainly on rank tracking—and it does that really, really well.

Wincher Homepage

It boasts an extremely simple interface. You can use it to keep an eye on your own ranking positions or your competitors, with daily updates and automatic alerts when something changes.

Keyword tracking allows you to view up to 6 months of ranking history for any keyword and add an unlimited number of users to your account, regardless of your plan.

Wincher also doubles up as a keyword research tool. You can use it to discover new high-volume keywords you didn’t know existed.

Pros and cons

Flexible and powerful rank tracking solutionNot an all-in-one solution
AffordableNo backlink analysis feature
Daily ranking data
Automatic alerts

Wincher plans start from €24/month. You can try it out for free.

#10 – Keyword Revealer

Keyword Revealer is another great alternative to SEO PowerSuite’s Rank Tracker. Like Wincher, it includes tools for keyword research and rank tracking, plus additional tools for competitive research and backlink analysis.

Keyword Revealer Homepage

Keyword Revealer is also one of the most affordable tools on this list. Despite the low-cost price, it still boasts an impressive amount of data. There are 3 billion keywords and 10 trillion crawled backlinks in its database.

You can use the keyword research tool to find easy-to-rank search terms with little competition. The Brainstorming tool is a neat feature that makes it easy to explore new topic ideas and group them into silos.

Pros and cons

Great for keyword researchLacks some advanced features
Huge database of keyword ideasNo site auditing capabilities
Very affordable plans
Multiple SEO tools in one

You can start out with a limited free plan. Paid plans start at just $12.50 ($150 paid annually).

#11 – Netpeak Spider

Last but not least, we have Netpeak Spider—the best alternative to SEO PowerSuite’s Website Auditor.

Netpeak Spider Homepage

Netpeak Spider is the only SEO software solution in this list that doesn’t run in the cloud. Like SEO PowerSuite, you download it to your desktop to use it.

It’s a powerful SEO crawler that you can use for day-to-day SEO auditing and website scraping. It’ll analyze your entire site to check for hundreds of common optimization issues, like broken links and images and duplicate content, then show you how to fix them.

You can also use it to generate XML sitemaps, generate white-label audit PDF reports, run spell checks, extract data from websites, and more.

For technical SEO – Netpeak Spider is one of the best tools available.

Pros and cons

Powerful site auditsRequires download
Comprehensive web scraperNot an all-in-one solution
Crawl multiple domains
White label reports

You can sign up and use a limited version of Netpeak Spider for free. Paid plans start at $18.20/month.

SEO PowerSuite alternatives FAQ

What is SEO PowerSuite?

SEO PowerSuite is a one-stop SEO software solution that runs on the desktop. You can download the suite of tools to your device and use them to monitor your SEO performance such as your keyword rankings, monitor backlinks, discover keywords, run site audits, and much more.

It’s designed to offer all the features marketers need to rank on search engines like Google.

What tools and features does SEO PowerSuite have?

SEO PowerSuite comes is made up of four main toolkits, each of which has dozens of features to help with different SEO operations. These toolkits are downloaded and run as separate apps on your desktop.

The four tools are:

  • Website Auditor. As you probably guessed, this is SEO PowerSuite’s SEO auditing toolkit. It can help you to analyze your website for problems and show you how to fix them in order to boost your rankings.
  • Rank Tracker. This app allows you to monitor your ranking positions in the SERPs in order to evaluate your SEO performance—but that’s not all. It also doubles up as a keyword research solution and comes with tons of features to help you identify new keyword opportunities and evaluate them. Integrate with Google Analytics and/or Google Search Console for a deeper analysis.
  • SEO SpyGlass. This is SEO PowerSuite’s link-building toolkit. It enables you to view your link profile, find the most powerful referring domains pointing to your site, and reverse engineer your competitors’ link-building strategies.
  • Link Assistant. This is an outreach tool that helps you to prospect for new link building opportunities, find contact information for all your prospects, and reach out to them via email.

What are the drawbacks of SEO PowerSuite?

SEO PowerSuite is a great tool, but it has its drawbacks. Here are some of the main reasons you might want to use an alternative instead:

  • It runs on your desktop. While some people like a desktop interface, the disadvantage is that you need a fast PC in order to run resource-heavy processes, and it’s more difficult to schedule site audits.
  • The UI could be better. In my experience, SEO PowerSuite’s user interface is a little clunky and tough to get used to. There are also certain features that are particularly frustrating to use, such as the email editor.
  • Annoying CAPTCHAs unless you pay extra. If you’re using the free version of SEO PowerSuite, you might find that you have to manually insert CAPTCHAs sometimes in order to run checks. You can get around this by paying extra for an anti-CAPTCHA service, but this isn’t ideal.

Are there any other desktop SEO tools like SEO PowerSuite?

SEO PowerSuite is the only all-in-one desktop SEO solution that we know of. Most other similar toolkits run in the cloud.

However, there are a few other desktop SEO tools out there that aren’t all-in-one solutions but can help with specific tasks.

For example, Netpeak Spider is a desktop tool that runs on Windows and can help with day-to-day SEO audits. Likewise, Netpeak Checker is another desktop SEO tool for SERP Scraping and data aggregation. You can download both to your device.
